Description:
5'5", 130 lbs. short light brown hair, grey eyes, fair skin, right
handed. Blood type: A positive.
Sylvie is an only child. Her father (Otto) knows
John Wilkes as a business partner. Wilkes is her contact for enrollment to
the school. Her father contacted him and mentioned the situation with his
daughter and John brought up the idea of sending her stateside for
training before the 'government' comes knocking at her door. (In truth,
the government would be The Round, but neither knows about that.) Otto
enrolled her in the school for an indeterminate amount of time to teach
her how to control her powers.
Sylvie was part of the DDR athletic machine from
about the time she could walk. As a young child, she showed the promise
they looked for in a candidate. She became a black belt in karate at a
very early age and was part of the DDR demonstration team for the 1996
Atlanta Olympics. She was twelve, the youngest age permissible for
international competition at that time. (Since then, the minimum age limit
has been raised to 16.) Since karate didn't make it as an olympic
sport that year, they started gearing her for international
competition.
She gained her powers by someone slipping her a
chemical cocktail during her training in an effort to boost her martial
ability and make her all the more impressive in the ring. It did what it
was supposed to but also had some unexpected and unwanted side
effects.
